The Beautiful Road Less Traveled
Zion National Park, UT
We were curious about the unassuming Kolob Road that goes off the main highway 15 miles west of the Canyon, especially after we’re told at the visitor’s center that it contained breathtaking vistas of Zion and adjacent areas far and near. And so we went—and to say we weren’t disappointed was the understatement of the trip. One spectacular panorama after another greeted us as you’ll see, starting with this scene early on of small rugged peaks posing above a scorched grove of trees.
