According to the sign posted at this eastward viewpoint at the west end of Capitol Reef, the Colorado Plateau—an expansive area covering much of the Four Corners states, and for which Capitol Reef is practically the heart of—has the best visibility in the 48 contiguous American states. This image doesn’t exactly bring the point home, but it is almost high noon.
