Conveniently located at the gates of Bryce Canyon is Ruby’s Inn, which isn’t so much an inn but a whole town—with numerous hotels, gas stations, restaurants and gift shops, all owned by the Ruby family since stumbling upon this land back in 1916. Can you say “monopoly?” Nothing here is outrageously expensive, but it’s not terribly cheap, either. There is competition eight miles away in Tropic and a few other smaller joints nearby, but in this town, what Ruby says, goes.
