Rain and Dust

In one of the strangest (if not downright eeriest) scenes to unfold before us on this trip, an incoming burst of rain coming off the mountains whips up a cloud of dust off the side and develops into a petite duststorm that crosses the road. It’s an unfair treatment to describe Torrey, a town five miles west of Capitol Reef that lies in a picturesque vernal valley.
