How Green is My River
Mile 1,624, Canyonlands National Park, UT
From the Green River Overlook we spot, naturally, the Green River, which snakes through the western end of the park before bumping into the Colorado. Mystery surrounds the origin of the name; the one theory that seems to make sense here is the abundant green vegetation along the river.
