Timing the Flash
Hopi Point, Grand Canyon, AZ
As the sun touches the western horizon, its light splits the void between rock and clouds and gives a beautiful golden hue to a passing rain over the Canyon. I vowed before we left home to get a shot of lightning at some point during the trip—and this cloud provided it, but not slowly enough for me to pull the shutter in time to grab it.
