Room With a View
Kachina Lodge, Grand Canyon, AZ
We booked our room at the Kachina Lodge (seen here at right, next to El Tovar Hotel) as early as we were allowed—13 months in advance—and still just barely got in. We braced for the worst after later reading some dubious reviews, but despite its drab exterior, the lodge underwent a recent interior makeover and we were ultimately pleased with our room. And hey, you gotta like the view from the window.
