When we first brought the kids to Yosemite in 2006, they instantly gravitated to Yosemite Falls, eager to get as close as they sanely could to get wet from the mist. That was in late spring, when the water was bursting down from the granite; if you’re looking for something similar in mid-August—especially after a below-normal winter of snowfall—you’re guaranteed to be disappointed.
