Mile 2,710, U.S. Highways 6 and 95
We’ve found a lot of deserted outposts on our travels, but none as curious as this one at the junction of U.S. Highways 6 and 95. The sign on the side of the main building at right looks as if it used to say “Restaurant, Bar & Slots,” But the ampersand is washed out, as is the top of the “o” in “slots”—which leaves it to read as “Bar Sluts.” Then again, this is the wild of Nevada, so you never know.
