At least the folks back in Beatty had a sense of humor with the giant free parking sign. We doubt anyone’s laughing in Goldfield, which is stuck in the middle of Nowhere, Nevada and is hands down the most beaten down town we’ve ridden through on this entire trip. People from Mogadishu might find this place depressing. Take the “G” out of the name and you have a much better idea of what this ramshackle really is like; the image shown here provides a fairly good representation of the whole town.
