Just as Stunning, the Tenth Time Through

I came to Yosemite Valley for the first time as a 14-year old and was absolutely floored; I had no idea what to expect and could not imagine that a place could look so spectacular. Given that Yosemite is the only one of the nine national parks on the trip that I’ve previously visited—and numerously, at that—I look at our venture here as merely a stopover point on the way home. Still, with grandiose landmarks like El Capitan staring right at you, 3,500 feet above, it’s hard to yawn.
