Before getting back onto the shuttle and out of the park, I take one last look back at Zion Canyon, which from this viewpoint at Weeping Rock is as high as we’ll get in this park (that’s high as in elevation gain, not from sniffing the Datura flower). In 2011, we return to Zion with breathtaking vistas from the road less traveled—thus, the park's best-kept secret—west of the canyon.
