Forty-Eight Down, Three to Go
Mile 2,092, Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
All throughout the trip, we’ve been trying to spot the license plates of all 50 states. At the start of this day, we had all but two of the 48 contiguous states—Rhode Island and Delaware—and had even spotted two Mexican states, six of the seven major Canadian provinces and the District of Columbia. But in the parking lot of Bryce Point, Rachel came across a license plate of Hawaii, which we thought we’d never get; after all, how does someone get in a car and drive from Hawaii to Utah?
