One of the first shuttle stops into Zion Canyon, the heart of the park, is that of the Court of the Patriarchs. If you want to tour the canyon, don’t expect to do it in your own car—at least not from April through October, when private traffic is banned on the canyon’s Scenic Drive. This has been the gospel since 2000, when the park said enough to congestion and smog within Zion.
