Yes. Somebody actually lives here. What the owner does for a living, what property taxes he pays and what newspaper, if any, he receives is none of our business. (There’s not even a satellite dish!) It is a rare sign of home life on the long, desolate stretch of I-40 through the Mojave Desert, amid the ruins and ghost towns of old Highway 66 that runs immediately adjacent for part of the way.
